McCain TV Ads Support Palin And Discredit Obama

Many were shocked when John McCain chose Sarah Palin to be his running mate in the presidential race. Since then Obama’s campaign has been questioning her experience. Yet, it seems that McCain was prepared for just this thing and is fighting back.

John McCain stated to the American people that Palin is more experienced and qualified then Obama and would be a better change for the White House. One of their new television ads describes Palin as an “Alaska Maverick” due to her record as being a “bipartisan reformer” and stating in the same ad that Obama was “most liberal” in the Senate.

Michelle Obama Shows Her Love For Her Country

Michelle Obama did her part to jump start the Democratic National Convention this week and gave a speech on why she loved the United States and the people that live in it. The wife of Senator Barack Obama has finally revealed that she does indeed love this country. This came after her husband became one of the candidates for presidency.

Obama And McCain Decide On Schedule For Fall Debate

Barack Obama and John McCain will be holding three presidential debates and at least one vice presidential debate in the fall. This week they decided on the outlined formats, locations, and the dates that they would meet on.

The first debate will be September 26th at the University of Mississippi and will be on the foreign policy and national security. Both parties will answer questions given to them by Jim Lehrer - the moderator. On Oct. 7, the two will meet again for a town-hall style debate at Belmont University. Moderator Tom Brokaw will call on audience members and pose questions submitted through the Internet.

Hillary Clinton Chosen To Be In Nomination

Hillary Rodham Clinton has been chosen to be placed in the nomination at the convention in Denver. The Democrats nominated the senator with a roll call for the rival of nominee Barack Obama.

The party will officially nominate Obama at the convention. But Democrats familiar with the discussions say the former rivals made a joint decision to place Clinton’s name in nomination and do a traditional role call of the state delegations.

John Edward’s Admits To Affair

John Edwards’ career was on a high rise when he became Senator Vice presidential nominee. However, things began to spiral downward after he admitted over the weekend that he had an affair outside his marriage. His reputation was shot in the two seconds that it took him to confess.

Campaign Buttons Show Obama With Wrong Senator

Idaho was in charge of making Democratic campaign buttons to support Barack Obama and his run for presidency. However, the buttons were not made to exact specification. On the buttons was a picture of Democratic Barack Obama and next to him was Republican Senator Larry Craig.

Despite what the buttons say this is not going to happen. It seems that the manufacturer who was making the buttons chose the wrong Larry from Idaho.

Obama Promises To Continue War On Terror

Barack Obama - the Democratic presidential candidate - has promised to aid Afghanistan in the talks with their Western-backed leader and to continue with the war on terror “with vigor” if he is elected. During the second day of the international tour Obama and other U.S. senators talked for two hours with President Hamid Karzai in the capital of Afghan.

Rev. Jesse Jackson Caught Using The “N-Word”

Reverend Al Sharpton expressed his disappointment with Reverend Jesse Jackson during his off-camera comments mostly because he used the ‘n-word’ along with a crude remark about Senator Barack Obama. Jackson made it clear that he was not calling Obama that name - but was using it to refer to African-Americans.

Jackson, who previously apologized for the comment he made about wanting to cut off Obama’s testicles, apologized again Wednesday after TVNewser broke the news about what else he said. Sharpton said it is “disheartening” to learn about Jackson’s use of the N-word.

Barack Obama Reveals New Proposals For Bankruptcy Changes

Barack Obama gave a 15 minute speech this week in front of 2,700 supporters at McEachern High School in Powder Springs. In his speech he revealed new proposals that he hoped would refine the bankruptcy laws set for seniors and military families.

Barack Obama Encourages Black Fathers To Become Better Parents

Barack Obama chose to celebrate Father’s Day by talking to black fathers who he believe are “missing from too many lives and too many homes.” He encouraged them to play a bigger role in being there and raising their children. “They have abandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men. And the foundations of our families are weaker because of it,” the Democratic presidential candidate said Sunday at a largely black church in his hometown.
