Hillary Rodham Clinton has been chosen to be placed in the nomination at the convention in Denver. The Democrats nominated the senator with a roll call for the rival of nominee Barack Obama.
The party will officially nominate Obama at the convention. But Democrats familiar with the discussions say the former rivals made a joint decision to place Clinton’s name in nomination and do a traditional role call of the state delegations.

John Edwards’ career was on a high rise when he became Senator Vice presidential nominee. However, things began to spiral downward after he admitted over the weekend that he had an affair outside his marriage. His reputation was shot in the two seconds that it took him to confess.

Idaho was in charge of making Democratic campaign buttons to support Barack Obama and his run for presidency. However, the buttons were not made to exact specification. On the buttons was a picture of Democratic Barack Obama and next to him was Republican Senator Larry Craig.
Despite what the buttons say this is not going to happen. It seems that the manufacturer who was making the buttons chose the wrong Larry from Idaho.

Barack Obama - the Democratic presidential candidate - has promised to aid Afghanistan in the talks with their Western-backed leader and to continue with the war on terror “with vigor” if he is elected. During the second day of the international tour Obama and other U.S. senators talked for two hours with President Hamid Karzai in the capital of Afghan.

Barack Obama gave a 15 minute speech this week in front of 2,700 supporters at McEachern High School in Powder Springs. In his speech he revealed new proposals that he hoped would refine the bankruptcy laws set for seniors and military families.

Barack Obama chose to celebrate Father’s Day by talking to black fathers who he believe are “missing from too many lives and too many homes.” He encouraged them to play a bigger role in being there and raising their children. “They have abandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men. And the foundations of our families are weaker because of it,” the Democratic presidential candidate said Sunday at a largely black church in his hometown.

Barack Obama told voters on Saturday that he will be pushing for a more aggressive economic agenda if he wins the presidency by raising taxes on the wealthy, lowering taxes for the middle class, and putting money into “green energy” and making sure that more employees will be given retirement saving plans.

Senator Hilary Clinton has finally made the decision to end her presidential bid this weekend while in Washington, D.C. Surrounding her were her faithful supporters who were less than happy and also a bit angry by the look of their faces. She became famous as being the nation’s first woman to run for presidential nominee and now it is over.

There are only two Democratic primaries left and Senator Barack Obama is ready and prepared for the final part of the race. Clinton on the other hand is determining whether or not she should stay in the race or call it quits. Many believe that she is staying in only to delay the fact that she lost.

During a recent interview Rep. Anthony Weiner explained why he has been campaigning for Hilary Clinton all this time. “I’m doing a lot, but it’s largely because I’m dating Huma,” Weiner said.
Huma Abedin has been called the “body woman” for Clinton. She is the assistant for Clinton and is always by her side. Weiner stated that he has admired Abedin for a long time now. In last year’s Observer profile of Abedin, Weiner said, “This notion that Senator Clinton is a cool customer—I mean, I don’t dispute it, but the coolest customer in that whole operation is Huma.”
