Obama Refuses To Debate With Clinton

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has finally had enough with his opponent Hillary Clinton. He said on Sunday that he would not be debating with Hillary until after the nominating contests in Indiana and North Carolina are finished. This will take place on May 6th.
Clinton had challenged the Illinois senator and front-runner for the Democratic White House nomination to a 90-minute debate in Indiana without a moderator, but Obama turned her down.

John McCain Requests North Carolina GOP To Keep From Running Commercial Ad

This week John McCain asked the North Carolina GOP to keep a commercial ad that brings up the controversy of Barack Obama’s former pastor from running on television. The North Carolina Republican officials told McCain that they will be running the ad despite his request.

Obama Hurts Chances With Negative Statements On Small Town Voters

Senator Barack Obama may have seriously hurt his chances at securing his place in the Presidential nomination this week with certain negative remarks he made towards small towns in Pennsylvania and their citizens while at a private fundraiser in San Francisco. The Huffington Post published his comments Friday, “You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton Administration and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are going to regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Hilary Clinton’s Chief Advisor Quits Campaign

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s chief advisor – Mark J. Penn – quit on her this week. This new development along with the fact that Barack Obama is in the lead for the Democratic presidential nomination is shaking things up for her campaign.
