Bush Urges Congress To Pass Legislation For Homeowners

President George Bush spoke with Congress and urged them to pass the legislation – which would help to modernize the Federal Housing Administration before he left for the NATO summit in Europe. Bush has been finding new ways to help out the homeowners that have been struck hard by the credit crisis.

“They have a lot of work to do,” Bush said, referring to Congress. “Congress needs to pass legislation to modernize the Federal Housing Administration. Struggling homeowners are waiting on Congress to act.”

Obama Receives Endorsement From Senator Casey

Barack Obama is receiving endorsement from Senator Bob Casey Jr. of Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is one of the few last states that has undecided superdelegates. Casey revealed his plans during a rally at the Soldiers and Sailors Military Museum and Memorial that was held in Pittsburgh this week.

“Scooter” Libby Banned From Practicing Law

Lewis “Scooter” Libby – one of the White House’s former top aides – was banned last week from practicing law in Washington D.C. after he was found guilty for perjurty during the CIA operative leak case. The appeals court made the decision and stated that, “When a member of the bar is convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude, disbarment is mandatory.”

Gov. Spitzer To Step Down After Scandal

Governor Eliot Spitzer earned the nickname “Mr. Clean” – but this week that nickname was stripped from him after he was accused and found guilty of paying off a high priced call girl for sex. The scandal has forced the Democrat to step down from his position of office.
At a news conference before about 100 reporters, a glassy-eyed Spitzer, his wife at his side, apologized to his family and the people of New York. But he gave no details of what he was sorry for, did not discuss his political future and ignored shouted questions about whether he would resign.

Obama And Clinton Looking For More Votes

Barack Obama was hoping for a strong win against Hilary Clinton this week as the voting polls began in both Texas and Ohio. Clinton is also hoping for a strong win in order to get back on track for the presidential nomination. Both of them were confident that they would have no problem winning. However, their campaign teams have stated that there is a chance that split decisions and close voting could happen and could drag on the battle for more than a month.
